Most Shopify store owners have two options when they need help: spend hours hunting through YouTube videos and Reddit threads hoping someone else had the same problem - or hire an agency for thousands of dollars a month with long contracts and fees that don't flex with their business.

I'm Meagan Mason, and I'm based in Kamloops, BC.

I've spent the better part of a decade working across every corner of eCommerce - as a store owner, an in-house ecommerce manager, a digital marketing consultant, and an agency-side SEO and ads specialist. That breadth isn't accidental. It means when I look at your store, I'm not just seeing it through one lens. I've managed the ads, written the product copy, built the Shopify flows, fixed the technical SEO, and worried about the conversion rate all at the same time. I know what it actually takes to run one of these businesses because I've done it.

What sets my approach apart right now is the intersection of technical skill and AI strategy. I hold a Full Stack Development diploma from Red River College (graduated with honours), which means I can build and customise in Shopify at a level most consultants can't. I'm also one of a small number of practitioners actively working in Generative Engine Optimisation - helping businesses show up inside AI-powered search platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity, not just Google. This isn't a future trend I'm watching. It's work I'm doing with clients right now.

Before all of this, I spent four years teaching technical curriculum at Red River College. That background matters more than it might seem. Being able to explain complex things clearly, build a learning plan around someone's actual skill level, and make sure the knowledge sticks - that's not something most consultants think about. It's central to how I work with every EcomWise client.

Things people usually want to know

Do you only work with Shopify stores?

Shopify is the focus — it's the platform I know best and where I can deliver the most value. That said, if you're on WooCommerce or another platform and considering a move to Shopify, I can help with that transition too.
Do you work with brand new store owners or only established businesses?

Both. Some clients come to me before they've launched a single product. Others have been running their store for years and feel like something isn't working. The problems are different but the approach is the same — figure out what matters most and work on that first.
How many clients do you work with at a time?

I keep it deliberately small. I'm not building an agency — I'm offering direct, hands-on expertise and that requires actually having time to think about your store. If my availability is limited when you reach out, I'll tell you honestly and we can figure out the right time to start.
Are you available for US clients?

Yes. I work with merchants across Canada and the United States. All pricing is in Canadian dollars, which typically works in favour of US clients given the exchange rate.
What does the free discovery call actually involve?
